If you follow this blog a little bit you may know how enthusiastic I was last year about the Silla Eléctrica // V.A. Punk Colombia compilation and especially bands like Abuso, Uzi, Muro and... Reacción Violenta.
Deeply rooted in the furious colombian punk hardcore tradition,
Reacción Violenta is delivering a new charge of pure violent
        brutality with
      Autodestrucción, their new EP.
It contains 8 songs but only 5 of them are new as are included Nada Nuevo,
Supuesta autoridad and Juventud which were on
        Todo Sigue Igual
        and on
        Silla Electrica.
For some reasons Autodestruccion has a lot rawer sound than the first EP (I don't
know if rawer is the best term, let's say more low-fi, more "punk demo")
and even if it does not really take anything out of the downpour of
energy the band is putting into the songs, I would have preferred
        something a bit "cleaner".
Because in the end this release disappoints me a bit, going down from a
"great and furious 2018 EP" to a "classic and furious 2020 Colombian
        hardcore release". So yes
Reacción Violenta does the job for sure but does not
impress me as much as expected... letting the 3 same old (and
great) songs being the highlights of this EP...
You can listen to Reacción Violenta on Rien à Faire #14.
